Using YouTube For Internet Marketing

Advertising an internet business is very time consuming no matter how you do it. The more time you put into it, the more you will generally get out of it. This is the case unless you use YouTube.

I have a specific easy to follow process which I use when I make a video to post on YouTube.

1.) I do keyword research.

I do most of my keyword research by using Google AdWord's "Keyword Tool." This program is free and can be found by doing a search for it on Google.

Obviously, the goal is to find a keyword which is searched frequently. The good thing about submitting a video to YouTube is that you do not necessarily need to find a keyword with little competition because YouTube ranks so well on Google.

2.) Create the video.

Since I am cheap and I do not want to spend money to create my videos. I use the "Sound Recorder" program that comes with Windows and I use "Windows Movie Maker," another program that come with Windows.

I start by writing a script which I am going to read into a microphone. It is really important to write out a script because you want to make sure you say what you need to. Once I have the script ready I record it into "Sound Recorder" and save the file.

The next step is to make the visual part of the video. The way I do this is very easy and I'm sure you can make a better video then what I do. All I do is make a slide show with transitions and make my audio file play over it. Creating a video is so simple anyone can do it.

3.) Post your video on YouTube.

Since you now have your video all ready to go all that is needed is to put it online. Create an account on YouTube and post your video. It is free and easy to set up.

There are a couple keys to the posting process which are as follows. The title of your video is what the search engines are going to see. So put the keyword you selected from your keyword research in the title.

The last and final step is to make a little description about your product and a link to your website.

Creating YouTube videos is the fastest way to get huge amounts of traffic to your website because Google ranks YouTube videos really well. Just wait about 30 minutes after submitting and do a search on Google for the title of your video. More then likely your video will be up on one of the first few pages of the organic searches.
